For my Input/Output Digital Project for homework, I tried using the tiny speaker (Mini Speaker 3w/8ohm) in my kit.
I also checked out another speaker from the Shop Floor staff (thank you Antonia!), but then when I got home I was confused on how to add it 😕
Oh! And this week, I learned how to wire strip and make my wires look neater (thank you to Tobi!). I think I spent way tooo long on a pair of dull wire strippers, until I finally checked out a pair of sharper wire strippers.
This was building on from the prior Lab ↗ (from 07/14), and I just wanted to test/play using the speaker for the first time on my breadboard/Arduino.
Using a 100 ohm resistor for the speaker in my breadboard
I chose a frequency between 2500-4000 Hz, because that was a range that the human ear can hear, but didn’t sound too irritating.

If I had more time, I definitely would have liked to play around and add more speakers, or even try a phototransistor (a sensor that detects/converts light into electrical current) into my device, but I was really pressed for time due to personal matters that occurred unfortunately ☹️
