I’m Janice — and I'm a Product Designer based in New York, NY. For me, designing applications is not just about creating functional products, but also about crafting experiences that people will truly enjoy!
Originally from sunny Tucson, AZ, I moved to the Northeast in late Fall 2022 and have been exploring the vibrant neighborhoods and all 5 boroughs of the city.
Throughout my life, I've had a passion for people and their stories, which led me to work at my local library (facilitated the annual Summer Reading Program, and Code Club ↗), and serve on the mayor's teen council in high school.
During my college years, I served as the President of the Asian American Cultural Association (AACA) spreading awareness and promote cultural understanding, and later worked on Board of Directors for Appropriations for the Student Government of the University of Arizona (ASUA), where I helped provide funding for student clubs at the University of Arizona.
In my coursework for Management Information Systems (MIS) and Finance at the University of Arizona, allowed me to dive deep into understanding how people interact with design and information.
Through constant iteration and gathering feedback from peers, on my application designs and pitch decks, I was able to win three business case competitions for three consecutive semesters:
- BCOM314 (Spring 2019)
- MIS304 (Fall 2019)
- ENTR485 (Spring 2020)
When I'm not designing applications in Figma to reach tomorrow's horizons in space and flight during the week, you can find me spending time with cats 🐈⬛ and walking dogs 🐕 as a weekend pet-sitter in Manhattan
